A configuration error in the Domain Name System at Amazon Web Services‘ northern Virginia data center triggered widespread outages Monday, according to reports from the AWS Health Dashboard. The incident affected more than 100 AWS services and cascaded to major platforms including Reddit, Snapchat, Venmo, Roblox, Wordle, and Fortnite, with service restoration reportedly completed by approximately 6 p.m. ET.
