AI-Powered Marketing Solution for Small Businesses

A new Seattle startup founded by serial entrepreneur Pete Christothoulou has launched what sources describe as an “AI marketing team” specifically designed for small and midsize business owners. According to reports, Omada.ai officially debuted Tuesday with a platform that automatically handles day-to-day digital marketing tasks through coordinated artificial intelligence agents.

Affordable Marketing Automation

The startup, backed by Crosslink Capital, HubSpot Ventures, and Seattle-based Ascend, reportedly offers its comprehensive marketing services for less than $9 per day. Analysts suggest this pricing model could make professional-grade marketing capabilities accessible to businesses that traditionally couldn’t afford dedicated marketing teams or expensive agency services.

Multi-Agent Architecture

Unlike single marketing “copilot” solutions or dashboard approaches emerging in the market, sources indicate Omada employs a set of coordinated AI agents that function as a virtual team. The system reportedly includes specialized agents for roles such as marketing assistant, social media manager, designer, and video producer that collaborate to handle tasks including content posting, ad management, customer response, and performance tracking.

Adam Coccari, managing director at HubSpot Ventures, stated in the announcement that “their agent-based architecture delivers a truly autonomous and proactive system that gives small business owners the access to capabilities and marketing expertise they’ve never had access to before.”, according to market developments

Proprietary Infrastructure and Learning Capabilities

The company’s approach positions itself as a “do-it-for-me” service rather than another “do-it-yourself” tool, according to the report. Omada’s agents are built on proprietary infrastructure that coordinates specialized AI models for language, vision, and audio tasks. The system reportedly learns each business’s specific tone and goals over time, continuously optimizing marketing campaigns based on performance data.

Competitive Landscape and Founder Background

Omada enters an increasingly crowded market where numerous startups are leveraging generative AI to help small businesses automate content creation and marketing tasks. Larger established companies including HubSpot, Canva, and Adobe have also integrated AI marketing tools into their small business offerings.

Christothoulou co-founded Omada with Siva Muthukumarasamy, former CTO at Peel Technologies, and Andrew Miller, a marketing veteran who previously served as head of user acquisition at Xembly. This marks Christothoulou’s latest venture applying automation and data intelligence to marketing, following his previous role as CEO of Marchex, a Seattle-based advertising analytics company that went public in 2004, and his more recent startup Xembly, which developed an “AI chief of staff” before discontinuing its consumer service last year.

The emergence of AI-powered marketing solutions like Omada reflects the growing trend of startups targeting the small business sector with affordable automation tools that previously required significant human expertise and resources.
